Last year in 2010, I ran Your Price v1 for 4 months, and I learnt a lot about business and handling people online, for that time. I’m sure I didn’t learn any social skills, but I learnt something about people. I’ve learnt that when you handle people’s money, you also learn about the people you give the money to. I don’t know why, but that’s the way it is.

In May 2010, I decided to code and design Your Price, and that’s the month that it launched. I’m not going to reveal to you my profit model, because that’s trade secrets, but what I can say, is that it is fundamentally important, that it runs with no overheads. I paid nothing for the domain, hosting, design, code, and I still do now. The way Your Price was supposed to work, is that it would operate with absolutely no overheads. It made sense that way as well, as it left me no ties.

This is the story about a Marxist, who decides not to use Your Price anymore, because it’s Marxist.

Lesson 1: The Avid Communist

The first user I got to signup was called rod10ca, and he ran a make money online blog. He said that he would post about Your Price on his blog, if I paid him. After doing 26 ycrows for mainly visiting 26 websites, he cashed out and got $1.02. (It was 1 ycrow per website viewed.) He logged back in, and messaged me several times about his account being locked.

To get your account unlocked, make sure you get 4 referrals in total.

Like it or not, Your Price has to make money to be able to compensate for the money that is given out, and become sustainable. I do not come from a well off background. I’m not the owner of Twitter who can run an enormous site for 5+ years without putting adverts on it. I’m not Imageshack either. Your Price is not a charity, and if it was, it wouldn’t get donations, as people from lower and working class backgrounds, don’t get charitable donations. You have to be destitute to get that.

He messaged me 4 times about that, and I told him that I have to implement account lockings, because Your Price isn’t making a profit. I told him that because Your Price pays the most, that there shouldn’t be reason for him to complain. After emailing him saying I would give his $1.07 earnings away, we both got into an argument about capitalism vs communism. He was saying that my account locking system was capitalist, and that I was trying to be exploitive of him. He has a Marxist view on things. He’s an email he sent me in our email conversation within gmail.

The society we live in is a free enterprise system and a democratic one ruled by elites or classes exploiter that is capitalist society .. you are not yet a capitalist and a big time business or you want to be a big one,, and exploit owner and me an affilate or i may say looking for earnings on easy sites, fast, most convenient for all but for me its not easy and convenient .. Its also much the same as i am working for your site to earn ,, then my compensation/ or earnings should be given a fair share . since its free to choose ,,i dont like your policy ..thats it,, i want to help and i did what i have to do…then since you cant afford i understand ,,but i cant do business with my locked account ,,,,its also not clear to me,,now your telling me ,,i earned something like 1.00 ,,is it not that my account is locked ,,why you have to ask,, i did not know that i will still earn even my account is locked..

I know what Marxism is, as well as Collectivism, Feminism, Functionalism, Interactionism, Postmodernity and New Right. I’ve done an assignment on it. So I gathered these things.

1. We live in a free enterprise system (the free market), and a democratic one.
2. The democratic society we live in is run by exploitive people from a higher class.
3. rod10ca is looking for quick easy earnings on websites.
4. It takes as much time on Your Price to earn $1.02 than it does on other sites, apparently!
5. Everyone should be given a fair share of the earnings, because everyone works hard to earn.
6. He is exercising his consumer power, to decide not to use Your Price any more.
7. It is not understood for there to be a good reasonable reason, as to why his account is locked.

About point number 5, it’s such an ignorant and misguided statement. Mark Zuckerberg is worth $6.9billion. Divide that by Facebook’s 500 million members, and what do you get? $1380. Then he would have no money left. If he gave away half that, you probably would have $690. Mark Zuckerberg is worth that large figure in assets, he doesn’t earn that much, so you would probably get $172.50. That’s the way capitalism works. You can’t share the huge wealth out equally. What you can do however, is improve the economy, so that there is more social mobility, and that the rich and poor gap decreases.

Okay then. What you have to understand is that every business exists to make a profit. This is a capitalist society, not a communist one. There has to be a financial model in place to allow Your Price to give away so much money.
I’ve got someone who has made $5 off the website in 15 days off the website. This amount is rising as the person gets more referrals. That person didn’t mind the account locking system. I think you’ll find that the policy is good. What other website gave you $1.10 in 10 days?

Let’s rewind to this line. There has to be a financial model in place to allow Your Price to give away so much money. You know say!

I have a site that gives me an earning a dollar in two days .. and i have 9 referrals from that site if you want to join i ll give you the site theres no such thing as locking ,, its only your site that i have found with such a kind of policy ,, With the site that i am mentioning my upline is also helping me with downlines … Its not being communistic , you dont know whats communism ,,theres no communism its only socialism ,,,communism is an ideal society ,,theres no such thing ,,

That’s a lie. He earlier persuaded me to join a HYIP (do not lookup what it means for your own good) which turned out to be a scam. I’m an argumentative person. I knew he was lying – obviously, but just to call him out, I decided to ask him what the site was.

Now listen to my argument. I pissed him off proper with my dog picture. I showed the argument to my friend on msn, and he agreed with me and laughed. My argument is very well constructed, and a bit too good, so good that it’s hard to counteract. My argument will make Marxist activists think twice and question their beliefs.

You got your money for earning opportunites that you had completed before your account was locked.
Once the earning oppportunites expired after your account was locked, you got paid your money.
This democratic system is not run by elites or middle class exploiter. You are wrong.
I am going to explain something to you.
Everything in this capitalist society is run like a pyramid
You go to work as a cleaner, there are many cleaners, less supervisors, and less managers, and 1 boss.
As you go up the pyramid, the money becomes higher and the amount of people becomes less.
I can illustrate this concept with an image.

With a pyramid capitalist system, everyone has their role, so everyone pays a crucial part towards everyone benefiting. In this system,
Let’s compare this to a communist system where there is no pyramid and 1 person divides up the wealth as they wish. This is much like the UK before the parliament got created. Kings and Queens could make the law up as they wish.

The little boy and girl in the picture are communists as they own the food and they get to say how much is shared out to the dog. In a capitalist society, the dog would have worked for his food rather than to have all the food seized under the kids’s control and shared how they feel to please.
Also note that communism is strongly linked to there being no democracy as 1 person holds all the power, all the cards and others have little say.

We used to have a joke on an article that addressed the issue of editing sent emails. As you can imagine when we said “No you can’t change a mistake after a campaign has been sent” and then told people not to touch the oven…we may not have anticipated exactly how frustrating a mistake might be to that person’s boss and to their stress levels.

Communism doesn’t exist, because communist countries are corrupt. Looks like all he knows of the world is mainstream media, Russia and China. Romania used to be communist, and they had human rights, and they were decent. In fact, the communist party is better than the capitalist one, who is now elected.

Here’s how I replied to that…

The point is that in a capitalist society people can work for their own food AND have their own say in how things are run.
In a communist society, whatever food a person works for will be taken off them by the communist to be shared out how the communist pleases AND the people will not have a say in how things are run as 1 person is making decisions speaking.
I have a question. If you had to share a flat with 2 other people for university or something, would you all have your own seperate bank accounts or would you agree to put all your money together and elect 1 person to be in charge of it? I know which option I would choose. In a communist society, the private sector would not exist as all businesses would be run by the government.
I think that the majority of people will agree with my capitalist argument.

The reason why there is no truly communist country is because countries that are known to be communist are known to have human rights record.
There is a remote island which is truly communist. I saw the documentary on the BBC. It was a show about a rich person who brought a remote island so he could create a society where everything was free. They had solar panels, food, free internet and free phone calls.
To answer your question, the west dominates the world. I don’t have to be a millionaire to have a good standard of living. As I am a UK citizen, I get free education, healthcare, good employment options and stuff like that.

Ok ,, i think you admit there is no cummunist country , but you are contradicting your statement ,,and saying again there is no communistry country because of human rights record,, what your saying again ,,there is but your not sure ..how come your saying there is no truly communist country when your saying there are human rights record ,, is that a communist country or a socialist state.. A person ,buying an island ,, is not a society ,,its his own adventure ..not a society ,,of the people but a selfish society for his mission or what he believes ..
On my question who dominates the world ? you did not answer my question ,, i am not insinuating you be a millionaire ..My question is who controls the worlds wealth ?? You just have to answer that ,, and the leads you to what you are saying ,, a person who controls the world and give only what other people he thinks he needs,, and he dont let anybody touch his wealth ,,because it would be war.. And somethime he declares war when , his wealth is at stake ,, who do you think ,,has this line of thinking ,, a communist or a capitalist..
Your already satisfied , then continue your capitalist line of thinking ,,and if you dont want to be a millionaire well that good ..at least you wont be an exploiter but not all capitalist are exploiter .. Well i end up this discussion.. I respect your opinion ,,but you have to be analytical ,,not conformist .. not all what you study are true ,, majority of education in a capitalist society is geared to serve the society that it is prevailing and does not want students have radical ideas ,,which will be against present society ,,

Who owns the wealth? What can I say? The west. The people who run businesses. How can I answer that question? No particular person owns the wealth.
Who dominates the world? The UK and the US.

rod10ca did get me a referral, but she refused the PayPal payment twice! I wonder what rumors he told her. rod10ca is just one of those people on life, who want to be rich, but not have to put any work in to be rich. When he says that he wants fair communism, what he really means is that he doesn’t want anybody to be richer than him. He’s so ignorant to think that an easy earnings on websites system can exist without the managing director of the company not being any richer than him.
